Section I · What this is

Science is how we explore what God made

Truth & Wonder gives Christian parents, homeschool families, and teachers hands-on science experiments for children ages 5 to 12. We believe God created the universe and gave it an order that can be studied, so every experiment is a chance to marvel at the One who made it. Each uses things you already have at home, with no kit to order and no screen to stare at.

Every experiment comes with a plain-language explanation of what is happening and why, followed by a short reflection and a Scripture to read together. You do not need a science degree to answer the follow-up questions. You need the page open next to the mixing bowl.

There are no trial walls, no cartoon mascots, and no pop-ups. Just the experiment, the materials, the safety notes, the explanation, and a moment to give thanks.

Kitchen chemistry

Why does baking soda fizz when it meets vinegar?

A first reaction experiment. Kids watch a gas form, catch it in a balloon, and learn what the fizz is actually made of, then marvel at the dependable order God built into matter.

Density and liquids

Can liquids stack on top of each other?

Layer liquids of different weights in a glass and see density at work, then predict what will sink or float before testing. Talk about how God made everything with its own weight and place.

Our approach

Every law of nature is a fingerprint of the Creator. Hands-on science that helps children see God’s wisdom in what He made.

“For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.”
Romans 1:20 (ESV)

Section III · How a session runs

From the pantry to praise

Every experiment follows the same calm rhythm, ending in wonder and thanks.

Gather
Check the materials list and pull supplies from the kitchen or the junk drawer. Nothing to order.
Set up safely
Read the safety notes first, decide who handles what, and clear the table.
Predict
Ask your child what they think will happen. Guessing out loud is part of the science.
Try it
Follow the steps together and watch closely. Repeat it if the first run surprises you.
Explain why
Use the plain-language explanation to answer the question “but why?” without searching for it.
Give thanks
Read the Scripture together and talk about what the experiment shows of God’s power, order, and care.

Section IV · Questions

What parents ask first

What is Truth & Wonder?

Truth & Wonder is a Christian science site for families. Every experiment is paired with a plain-language explanation and a Scripture reflection on God as Creator.

What ages are the experiments for?

Truth & Wonder is written for children ages 5 to 12, with parents, homeschool families, and teachers guiding each experiment.

How does faith fit with the science?

We teach that God created the universe and that science is the study of how His creation works. Each experiment explains the science plainly and then invites children to reflect on what it shows about the Creator.

Do I need to buy special supplies?

No. The experiments use household materials, and each one lists exactly what to gather before you start.

I am not a science person. Will I be able to explain it?

Yes. Each experiment includes a plain-language explanation of what happened and why, written for the adult in the room.

Are the experiments safe to do at home?

They are designed around household materials and include safety notes. Adult supervision is expected, and younger children should always have a grown-up hands-on.

What do I get when I join the email list?

Experiments with materials lists, explanations, and Scripture reflections delivered to your inbox, so you can set up a session without a screen on the table.
